What if I don't renew my motorcycle tax?
If I don't renew my motorcycle tax or renew my registration later than the due date, there are laws that will take care of this, as follows:
If I miss my motorcycle tax for 1-3 years, I will have to pay 1% tax per month.
If I miss my tax for more than 3 years, my license plate will be immediately suspended.
If I want to renew my car tax, I will have to return my old license plate to the Land Transport Office and pay a fine of 1% per month. I will also have to pay other additional expenses, such as inspection fees and new license plates. I will also not be able to do other car-related transactions.
There is a legal penalty for using a car that has not been renewed with a motorcycle insurance, which is a fine of up to 10,000 baht.
I will not be protected by law. If an accident occurs, I will not be able to claim medical expenses or compensation.
I will not be able to renew my motorcycle tax, which may result in a fine if I miss my renewal for 1-3 years. If I don't renew my tax for 3 years or more, my car registration will be suspended.
I will have to pay a retroactive fine of 1% per month.
However, do not neglect to renew your motorcycle tax and motorcycle insurance to ensure that you are protected and have the right to use your motorcycle legally. No need to risk being fined or having your registration suspended. Also, you don't have to waste money and time.
